《國際免疫遺傳學雜志》的前身是《歐洲免疫遺傳學雜志》。該雜志的訂閱者、作者和編輯委員會成員的分布確實是國際性的，并發表了關于免疫系統各組成部分的遺傳控制及其在人類和實驗動物中的相互作用的原創文章�！斑z傳”一詞的廣義包括對健康和疾病的進化、分子、染色體功能和人群水平的研究。例如:血型和其他表面抗原的研究;細胞相互作用和免疫反應;受體、抗體、補體化合物和淋巴因子;多態性;人類學和疾病協會。

The International Journal of Immunogenetics was formerly known as the European Journal of Immunogenetics. The Journal is truly international in its spread of subscribers, authors and Editorial Board Members, and publishes original contributions on the genetic control of components of the immune system and their interactions in both humans and experimental animals. The term "genetic" is taken in its broadest sense to include studies at the evolutionary, molecular, chromosomal functional and population levels in both health and disease. Examples are: studies of blood groups and other surface antigens; cell interactions and immune response; receptors, antibodies, complement compounds and lymphokines; polymorphism; and anthropology and disease associations.
